Performing and Creative Arts

Creativity and performance are both encouraged and celebrated. All boys have lessons in 2D and 3D Art and Ceramics, Music, and Drama each week until they start their GCSE courses. Photography is introduced in Y9. Many boys will choose from these subjects for GCSE and A Level, and go on to study them at University and Art Colleges.

There are public performances of plays, and the school’s many music groups give concerts to which parents are welcomed. There are “Show Case” events and talent nights including “Arts on a Summer’s Evening”.

There are Art and Photography shows, which the boys enter and they have achieved success in local and national competitions.

Between 2005 and 2007, £1.3M has been spent on developing performing and creative arts facilities.
